What do you think is the most difficult part of being a professional musician?

This was the discussion we were having after our last engagement playing at a wedding reception on Halloween Night. Thankfully, none of the guests (or bride and groom) were dressed as Goths or Ghouls, although there were a few kilts. Everyone looked splendid. Scherzando String Trio provided the music during the drinks reception and wedding breakfast.

We worked out that during a three hour engagement we will play between 30 and 40 separate pieces of music covering just about every style from Bach to the Beatles and Corelli to Coldplay via extracts from opera, musicals, film scores and Viennese waltzes.
